Buy Dakota Pinnacle® Birch online. Dakota Pinnacle® Birch was developed at North Dakota State University, and it was selected as an outstanding specimen due to its narrow, columnar habit. It's been known to be more tolerant to heat and alkaline soils than other types of birches, making it a better selection for warmer hardiness zones. After several years, bark matures to a yellow-white, and it produces an beautiful yellow fall color.
