Hardy Hibiscus is easy to grow and adapts to most conditions. Remove dead canes in early spring to avoid root rot during the winter. One of the last plants to break dormancy in spring, and can stay dormant into early summer. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.

I’m really excited about this plant. The bloom is magnificent. The plant arrived in excellent order, and is looking good, in a prominent place in the garden. You cut it all the way back, in the fall. So I will place bulb, in that area, for spring interest.
