Purchased Sun Valley Maple in 2014 & is now 12 feet and looks good. Doesn't look like the model pictures most sellers use, but is a nice tree. Branches arch upwards and is hearty, not dropping foliage until November in my zone. Nice red foliage in fall.

SUN VALLEY MAPLE Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips

Japanese Maples are moderately easy to grow and adapt to most conditions; however, they do prefer to be planted in an area that is well protected from wind, heat exposure, and drought like conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.
