Buy Trident Maple online. This is a very uniform grower with a distinctly oval-rounded to rounded outline. Emerging new leaves are bronze to purple, maturing to a blusterous dark green in summer. Trident Maple leaves later turn to yellowish orange and shades of red in fall. Wood is very hard and withstands wind with no damage or debris.

TRIDENT MAPLE Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips
Japanese Maples are moderately easy to grow and adapt to most conditions; however, they do prefer to be planted in an area that is well protected from wind, heat exposure, and drought like conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.

A good tree for southern states. Holds up to heat and drought very well, with very strong wood.

Of the 5 trees I ordered, this one has grown the most and has great form and shape. My only complaint is that the leaves are so small compared to other maples.
