Mature size is 18 inches wide and 1 to 2 feet tall. Sturdy stems hold their shape readily in obedience making this selection excellent for cut flowers. A part-sun to full sun perennial, it is a perfect companion to ornamental grasses and other fall plants.

Physostegia is very easy to grow and adapts well to most soil conditions. Fertilize once a year with a slow release fertilizer.

Pretty, but invasive (obediant is a misnomer). Best grown in containers or with a 3" in-ground border... or, just plan to share with neighbors. Blooms profusely on strong, sturdy stems that hold up well to rain.
