Green leaves are produced in mid spring that are followed by fully double white flowers that have deep red centers and are also blushed red on the edges of the petals. This highly unique and prolific specimen plant continues to bloom through fall. Excellent when used as a specimen or can be used for privacy and mass plantings. Note: Althea is considered a woody shrub or tree and will not die back to the ground in winter like hardy hibiscus.
